James “Jimmy” Earl Edmondson, of Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away April 17, 2018. Jimmy served in the U.S. Army and was a passionate student of World War II’s war in the Pacific, with a particular interest in aircraft.

Jimmy specialized in building-supply hardware in a long career that culminated in retirement from James L. Cox & Associates in Chamblee, GA. He was a member of Lilburn First Baptist Church and enjoyed spending weekend afternoons with friends playing golf. During retirement, he loved traveling with family and exploring international and domestic locales. An avid lover of classic automobiles, he frequently visited car shows and was especially drawn to “hot rods.” He was the proud owner of a 1923 Altered “T” Roadster Pickup that he restored with the help of his son, Kenny.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Farr Edmondson, and by a sister. He is survived by his son, James Kenneth “Kenny” Edmondson; a brother and sister and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held April 22 in Tucker, Ga.
