The Government of Canada is committed to broadening Canada’s trade ties, creating global opportunities for Canadian businesses and driving more job-creating investment into Canada.

After concluding his #TradeTalks tour of Quebec, Minister Champagne delivered a keynote speech to international business groups, investors and CEOs at the B7 Business Summit, held on April 4 to 6, 2018, in Québec, Quebec.

Minister Champagne highlighted Canada’s progressive trade agenda, which supports economic growth that works for everyone, and the global competitive advantages that Canada offers for international investors. The B7 Summit brings together leading international business organizations and is contributing to the G7 agenda by providing recommendations and proposals to the G7 leaders ahead of their upcoming summit. These recommendations were presented to Minister Champagne at the closing of the B7 Summit.

During his #TradeTalks tour of Quebec, Minister Champagne participated in discussions with local businesses and announced funding for Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu under the Invest Canada - Community Initiatives (ICCI) program.
